Squeezing Ziggy's arm just to try and steady him a little, Balthazar knew he was dredging up bad memories or just trying to get the words out. They must be serious and they were. The angel swallowed hard; his Adam's Apple bobbing slowly in his throat at what the half-Anthean was saying.
"It's ok...just take your time."
At hearing about Ziggy's uncle and that Jack was the version if it all went wrong. It was powerful stuff and caused the angel to inhale a sharp breath as he tried to stop emotion welling up inside of him. But, it was so hard.
"I'm so sorry--I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for you and your family. Jack....he's everything to me."
Glancing down at the drawings on the table, Balthazar put down his pencil and took a deep cup of coffee, just trying to digest everything Ziggy was telling him. Aliens, worlds being destroyed. It was overwhelming to say that least.
