Mantis can only stare a couple of seconds processing what he’s heard from the man. He remembers the party and having Tom pointed out to him, and then the kind words hit him and his mood is as bright as the glitter and sequins. He turns in his seat to face Tom and takes the offered hand to shake.
“Psycho Mantis. I only met Hiroki by accident and it seems I’ve developed some kind of attachment to your family by proxy.”
He’s swaying a little, even while sitting, but everything is a happy buzz. “Ground control to Major Tom... I heard Space Oddity all the time on the radio after I made it to the States.”
