"Something I have learned being immortal, and more powerful than most who would seek my company, is to ensure that the weaker part of the equation has full say in what occurs." Weaker wasn't said with anything negative attached to it, merely a statement of fact.
"Do you have anywhere in mind?" Lucifer is trying to pointedly let the human know that his opinion was what Lucifer was going to go with, unless of course he was told to choose.
