Ziggy Stardust Nexus Album Release Party
Why not in the Nexus had started all of this and now skekSa's bar had glitter and space themed drinks for the night, karaoke and a band playing for the release of a new album. Ziggy had decided this was the best course since so much of his family and friends couldn't go into his world to be there for his own party in his own world.
Of course, as with any good party this one was open to any who had stumbled into it and there were those directly invited as well. And flashy posters too. He was going through the ends of a sound check with the band when the bar opened.
There was a merch table, with the usual swag and new album to buy on CD and Vinyl, where they would be signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. Why not have fans in more than one universe? It had been a trip explaining this all to Mick. Weird and Gilly before dragging them through the portal. Ziggy still imagined there was going to be some crazy moments later in the night. They didn't even know he was an alien, or half alien anywway. All of this was going to blow their minds for sure.
After the show they had plans to spend the night just hanging out with drinking, karaoke, a DJ, and the usual bar fare. Ziggy had left Sa to the food and drink though he had put in a few requests for food his own species could eat.
Ziggy fussed with everything before heading backstage to drink and get dressed. About an hour after the bar opened they came out on stage and played through the whole album front to back plus a few from the previous.
[OOC: Feel free to mingle, karaoke, DJ, dancing, drinking, etc. Will post the band meet and greet below at the swag table as a top level. Any questions feel free to DM me here or on Discord.]

"I've got a collection back home; Stones, Doors, a lot of the old blues, some punk." Ziggy smiles. "I've got mine on vinyl. I like the sound better than the more modern technology."
Probably some nostalgia ingrained in him by his father too. "What's your poison?" Ziggy asks as he lets go of his hand and motions for him to come over toward the merch table. "I've got some stuff from my mom's culture but I'm not sure how it...." No he knows exactly what it does. He's seen his father get loopy on it.
no subject
"Oh, I love vinyl. Swear by it. Even with all the tech, you can't beat a good solid vinyl playing away on the player. It really creates the mood."
A fellow vinyl lover. Always a good thing. As for his poison? Well, that was a rather debatable subject. As for trying new things? He was totally up for that but it depended on what exactly they were.
"Usually? A green chlorophyll wheat grass shake. I've sort of been off the booze for a while now. Kicked the habit kind of thing since I was an addict."
The subject was sore but he didn't mind admitting it to Nexus residents now that he'd been clean for over ten years nearly.

Ziggy nods with understanding. "My dad's like that too. What are you comfortable with?"
That was a question he asked his father often enough. Some days the addiction rattled him and he didn't even want to see it. Others he was open to a small glass of wine or something without effect. For all his wild high, there's a politeness to the way Ziggy reacts to Tony revealing he's a recovering addict.
no subject
It was strange for someone as technophile as Tony was; the guy still loved the connection between the old and original. Vinyl still had it's place even in the twenty first century. Some things just never got old.
"Your dad is a recovering addict? I'm sorry to hear that. Well, what I'm comfortable with now is mainly mocktails, shakes, mostly anything non or low alcoholic. It's more staying off the hard booze which I used to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday."
Tony's life was hard. Work hard. Play hard. He barely had time to eat, so it was much easier to turn to the bottle for aid. Ziggy having a father who was also a recovering addict? That made for an almost comforting familiarity.
no subject
Ziggy himself was hard into drugs and alcohol but, addiction or not, a lot of it was to self medicate and make humanity easier on his mind and the long hours when he didn't sleep easier to manage.
"I don't want to botch your recovery." The sincerity is there in the Anthean's words. He'd watched the end of his father's recovery and how he struggled sometimes. He didn't want that for anyone, even a stranger.
no subject
Tony could totally sympathise with what Ziggy's father was going through. It was easier just to give into your demons than to battle them but he knew that wasn't the way out. You were only digging yourself into a deeper and darker hole that way.
"Hey, don't worry, you won't. I'm on the straight and narrow now and I've almost found love. Well...sort of."
The thing with the devil? He sort of wanted to keep that quiet for the time being, since it was an intimate arrangement and Tony wasn't even sure what it was yet. Glancing back to the main man of the night, he offered a friendly smile.
"So uh---you got any fruity things for me, Ziggy? Just have to say your hair? Epic. Also, wearing those tight pants up on stage? You deserve a medal, pal."
no subject
Ziggy smiles and his eyes come back to Tony with a bit of excitement. "Someone's got your attention?" Ziggy was definitely not one to assume anything about a lover; gender or species for that matter.
"Do you want to try our drink? It shouldn't interfere with your recovery." Siggy runs a hand through his hair, ruffling it. "The hair's natural."
He laughs. "Only tight on one side."
no subject
Tony could see the obvious pain in Ziggy's eyes and couldn't help but place a comforting hand on the singer's shoulder, squeezing softly. Sometimes life screwed you over and spat you out into the dumpster. He knew that all too well. His large brown eyes wondering just how hard it must have been to have your own father become an addict.
"Uh...yeah. You could say that. A tall, handsome angel for a matter of fact."
He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. What was he getting himself into by trying to seduce the devil? Too late. He'd already committed and was going all the way down to Hell. Fuck yes.
"Sure. Hit me, Hot stuff."
As for the tight pants? Tony saluted Ziggy for being able to pull that off. Not many men would have the....balls to pull it off at all.
no subject
"Which one?" Ziggy questioned curiously. He and his family had met several angels. They had all been friendly so far.
Ziggy got under the merch table and pulled out a teal colored glass bottle and matching, small wine looking glasses made of a reddish stone. He poured himself and Tony a glass of the inky colored drink. It was bitter, sour and had some unusual effects on humans. Anything from heightening the senses to mild hallucinations though for an Anthean it opened the mental powers farther.
"Hot Stuff?" Ziggy laughs handing over one of the glasses. "You're not the first, nor last, who will give me that name."
no subject
Was he really at peace? For the most part. The rest was memories and his PTSD that kept keeping him awake at night. His demons that refused to let him go. Ziggy's hand felt good though and he appreciated that the guy had five minutes out of his busy schedule to talk to him.
"Oh, uh, Lucifer? The devil? He's hot stuff for sure. Hot-Wings."
Yep. That was Tony's nickname for his new love interest. It was then the engineer's interest was pulled from glancing across the dance floor towards where Lucifer stood and instead onto the alien booze.
"Now, I don't feel special."
Tony pouted and then smirked, laughing softly, whilst gazing at the small wine glasses. They were really pretty. Ziggy had some awesome stuff.
no subject
"I've met Lucifer." Ziggy grins and stifles a laugh. "He has a hell of a pair of lips on him." Ziggy figures if Tony can get away with calling the devil Hot-Wings, especially if he does it to his face, they must have something rather close.
"Names, no, but I don't share our home wine with many people." Ziggy's smile brightens over the pout.
no subject
Truth be told, Tony needed to get to know the guy better since he had only shared a brief conversation with the man. Tom was someone that had real experience being in space and that fascinated Tony. Also, a fellow tech nerd? Hell yeah.
"Oh, you know he does, pal. The guy kissed me and the world seem to drop from my feet. He oozes warmth, power and intelligence and yeah--"
He scratched the back of his neck, realising he was talking too much about Lucifer because, damn--he was in love. Glancing back to Ziggy, Tony nodded and smiled fondly. The home wine? It was a nice gesture and he really appreciated it.
"Thanks, Ziggy. Can I call you Hot-Pants? Or does that offend your obviously tight and sexy pants?"
no subject
He thought he would mention it in case Tony wanted to catch up with a friend, or someone who he might become friends with.
Ziggy takes a deep breath. "Whooo. He came by after one of my shows and he's got presence. I get the attraction. I'd lay him out if I could." Ziggy grins and winks at Tony. "Good luck. Should we toast to your success?"
Ziggy is partially flirting and partially teasing. "All I think about is James Brown every time you say it, which isn't the worst. It's a flatteringly sexy song."
no subject
Tony was pretty chill with most he met and Ziggy? He seemed a really chill kind of guy; friendly with a big heart and even bigger hair. Man, that hair he rocked and the make-up? How long did it take to put on between gigs? Tony did wonder. The guy had balls to stand up and sing for hours under those punishingly hot bright lights.
"Lay him out? You and me both, pal. Those wings and that jaw? I'd kiss it all day and fall asleep in those feathers of his."
That got a chuckle from the engineer who was relaxed around Ziggy, just talking about his new angel lover. Acquaintance? Lover just wasn't enough for what they had going. As for tunes? Tony had a love for vinyl and old school stuff.
"Hey, Ziggy--if you ever want to come to the workshop and pop in? You'd be welcome. I could put on some Stones or Sabbath vinyls while I talk tech to you. If you'd be interested."
no subject
"I got to lay in those wings." Ziggy mentions longingly. He wasn't interested in Lucifer as a partner but sensuality was there either way. "You should go after him." the Anthean encouraged. "It's worth the possibility he might actually say yes."
He could tell Tony had it bad for the angel. The empathy only verified what he could see. He patted the human on the shoulder with a smile. "Or you could come by my place. I've built a small studio in the apartment."
no subject
Tony just guessed the atmosphere was getting to him as he was now just allowing his tongue to roll words off without much thought. He was going with the flow as they say. It was perhaps the empathy mixed with the euphoric atmosphere. His flirtatious nature cranked up to one hundred. As for getting it bad for Lucifer? Oh yes. The man's heart flutters were visible to most even non-Antheans or empaths.
"Hey, I'd love to come around to your studio apartment. Want me to bring some vinyls along? Do you like scotch? I can bring you a bottle or two if you want."
Even though Tony abstained from drinking himself he still gave out gifts. The guy looked like he enjoyed a drink or two so what would the harm be in that?
no subject
Ziggy was one to encourage anyone to seek out what brought them happiness. If that meant a lover, a drink, art.. any of it. The feelings rushing off of Tony felt good.
"I've got a collection too." Ziggy tells him, He could easily imagine their musical tastes overlapping some. "I'm more of a whiskey drinker when I do. Coffee is my drink of choice."
no subject
Tony was being serious. He had enjoyed the act and wanted to get to know the man behind the make-up so to speak. Ziggy sounded like he enjoyed wild times and Tony had almost forgotten what those were like some days when fighting against bad guys. His dancing skills? Not so great. But he would still bring some booze for Ziggy and a few vinyls of his own.
"Good choice. Although, I sort of kicked the habit. It's green health shakes for me now but I'd love to kick it about at your place, Hot-Pants."
no subject
Ziggy wasn't one to mock for quality if someone is enjoying themselves. "Come by whenever you want."
