Ziggy Stardust Nexus Album Release Party

Why not in the Nexus had started all of this and now skekSa's bar had glitter and space themed drinks for the night, karaoke and a band playing for the release of a new album. Ziggy had decided this was the best course since so much of his family and friends couldn't go into his world to be there for his own party in his own world.

Of course, as with any good party this one was open to any who had stumbled into it and there were those directly invited as well. And flashy posters too. He was going through the ends of a sound check with the band when the bar opened.

There was a merch table, with the usual swag and new album to buy on CD and Vinyl, where they would be signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. Why not have fans in more than one universe? It had been a trip explaining this all to Mick. Weird and Gilly before dragging them through the portal. Ziggy still imagined there was going to be some crazy moments later in the night. They didn't even know he was an alien, or half alien anywway. All of this was going to blow their minds for sure.

After the show they had plans to spend the night just hanging out with drinking, karaoke, a DJ, and the usual bar fare. Ziggy had left Sa to the food and drink though he had put in a few requests for food his own species could eat.

Ziggy fussed with everything before heading backstage to drink and get dressed. About an hour after the bar opened they came out on stage and played through the whole album front to back plus a few from the previous.

It's genuinely pleasing that an acquaintance he likes (and would certainly consider to be someone who could be a friend, given more time together) has found someone who seems to make him happy and who fits with Ziggy's lifestyle. Dorian knows that's half the battle sometimes, but when it works it's everything. Especially for peoples as long-lived as the Antheans, or immortals like Toby and himself.

"Congratulations. It sounds like you're a lucky man. He's here tonight, I'm guessing? What's his name?" He's curious about the kind of person that might hold Ziggy's attention.

Or curious until Toby's excitement about the vinyl starts getting distracting. He laughs lightly at the vampire's pouting, and then reaches for one of the wrapped vinyl records. "A signed vinyl, first album, and at least a few shirts and other items." It's important to support Ziggy at this phase, of course. Even if Dorian weren't more than halfway high from the concert, he would still be very much on board with that. "And after that, I'm thinking karaoke or dancing. There's too much going on here to not make ourselves a part of everything." ...Okay, make that a lot high.

Ziggy gets an excited gasp in his direction before Toby's pulling (gently!) at his boyfriend's arm again. "Really? You'd do that for me? I mean, with me?!" He's so excited all his words are coming out in a very quick tumble that may or may not include some internal dialogue he doesn't mean to share. Oh well, totally worth it! He grins and pecks Dorian on the cheek before turning back to Ziggy with a somehow even more ecstatic look on his face.

"I could kiss you for this. Seriously. You've no idea how much getting my hands on these vinyls excites me." Well, he probably does, but excited Toby is not exactly fully remembering things right now. This is the vampire who falls down the stairs on the regular when he really wants a thing that's not available to him in the bedroom! He wiggles in place a little, clacking his heels beneath him. "Best concert ever!"

"Somewhere." Ziggy looks around but there is an inordinate amount of tall people in this place and he can't find him immediately. "Hiroki Shirogane. He's a military pilot."

Pilot was the easiest explanation and Ziggy knows that the pacifist with a military person is weird.. then again his parents are that way too. Maybe it's normal.

"I'd try some of the drinks. They're all sweet and sneaky." Fruity tends to hide strong alcohol and some people were getting laid out by it.

Ziggy laughs and kisses Toby's cheek when he mentions kissing. "You don't have to be shy."

He can tell the man is all over the place and isn't above encouraging him to get more wound up. He does pass a glance at Dorian that is mischievous and pushes a slight emotional conveyance that he isn't intruding just teasing his partner a little. Ziggy definitely knows how much the records have Toby hyped up. Leaning over the table to reach in the bins and laughing with Mick about the craziness of his fans. Ziggy pulls out a still sealed Gold and Purple vinyl Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. Ziggy knows here were only a few of these made for an Asian promotion. He's not sure about their world but it makes sense that it would be true. He opens it and pulls out the poster inside passing it around for them to all sign in gold marker.

"We're working on some right now," he offers back with a grin, showing Ziggy his nicely-glittered cocktail he put down on the signing table for a moment while they were chatting.

Dorian knows how much Toby's been looking forward to seeing Ziggy live, so anything that makes this a more exciting experience for the vampire is good in his book. It's fun to watch the other man get this worked up and excited, because Toby excitement always seems to involve a zest for life that he hasn't seen in many other people over the course of his long, long life. It's infectious, and does a good job at raising his spirits even when he's in darker or grumpier moods.

"Oh, this..." There might be a small uptick of greed and interest in Dorian's eyes as he watches the Anthean pull out the rare vinyl. What a singular and precious item. They're going to keep that one in nice condition and not play it often, right, Toby? "Isn't this vinyl rather rare?"

"Ahh!!!" Toby is likely bruising his soulmate's arm right now as he legitimately squeals with delight, first from the kiss and then again from all the goodies Ziggy showers on them. God, this is honestly one of the best nights of his life and he is so glad Dorian is here with him to experience it ...even if that experience includes his flailing, bruising, and screaming at inappropriate volumes with glee.

"Oh my God! I've seen these in passing but I never actually had one! And we... You're giving this to us?!" He's not really in control of himself right now but he's got enough control to do what he feels is necessary in this moment. Letting go of Dorian's arm, Toby carefully (and with an excessively light touch) takes Ziggy's face in his hands and kisses the Anthean on the lips for this unbelievable gift. He doesn't linger at all after the kiss, though he's grinning from ear to ear as he turns and gives his boyfriend a (slightly uncoordinated) kiss on the cheek. "Darling, you and I are going to have a very good night when we get home."

A fantastic concert, a handful of vintage tees, and now multiple vinyls, including a very rare one he never thought he'd see in person. Yeah... tonight is definitely one of the best nights he's had in a very long time. There's very little else that could make this any better.

Ziggy is all for happy exuberance and would feed into it at any opportunity. The more amped up Toby becomes the more Ziggy wants to push him farther.

Ziggy shrugs about the vinyl. "They're leftovers. We've got a few."

He doesn't purposefully read their minds but they are both loud, emotionally and psychically, so it is easy to pick up on some of the desires, the wants and the dream type things. Ziggy just giggles into the kiss and smiles when Dorian gets the next one.

"You know..." Ziggy starts and no one needs telepathy or empathy to see he's making mischief. "My brother and parents are here. I could introduce you."

He's curious to see if this is just his music or some larger obsession. Either way, teh emotions rolling off the vampire fuel his own emotional high and he's all for making that more extreme.

Tonight he rates beneath Ziggy in terms of who gets the first kiss, and Dorian honestly gets it. At an event like this one Bowie is king. He chuckles at all of the squealing and doesn't quite take his eyes off the remaining albums. He really wants one to keep in a safe condition along with the other curiosities, works of art and literature he keeps in the townhouse. It's not something he thinks he'll ever get to share with friends on his Earth anytime soon, but simply having it as a memento for capturing the memories from tonight is enough. It's also a genuinely rare and excellent piece, and he'd be foolish not to try and collect it like the magpie of the arts that he is.

"If they're leftovers, would you mind if I bought an extra one?"

Unlike meeting Ziggy, he's less interested in visiting with the Anthean's family when there's the rest of everything else that's going on to experience. When the opportunity is offered he starts searching for a way to extract himself politely to do a little exploring to take in all of the rest of the party.

"Why don't I hold onto these," he says, picking up all of the merchandise they've bought, "and you say hello for the both of us?" he directs at Toby. "There are a few interesting faces I've seen here that I'd like to introduce myself to before the night's over and everyone's lost to the Nexus."

In no universe could Toby possibly love Dorian more than he does right now. After one last squeal, the vampire turns to his boyfriend and draws him into a long, passionate kiss with hands on either side of the man's face. He grins at the man when they part. "Stay out of trouble and I promise you as much of it as you can handle when we get home." There's no possible universe in which they both don't wake up hungover and still thoroughly satisfied from what Toby has in mind for them. This will be a night to stand above most others for years to come, if he plays his cards just right.

With one last, lingering kiss (and a very suggestive grab of his partner's backside), the vampire takes a breath and finally parts himself from Dorian. Still grinning like an absolute idiot, he turns his attention back to Ziggy. "Yes, I would love very much to meet your family." How many more Bowies can he meet in one night? Only time will tell!

"I think we still have some of the other presses." Ziggy laid on the table more or less, feet still on the ground on the side of the table where Dorian was and fiddling around in a bin with Mick on the far side of the table. He came back with various colors and a couple different picture disks to show them. They could buy whatever ones they decided.

Ziggy didn't mind the intimate departure between the two. He had been known to do similar things when leaving his lover.

"We should find my brother first before he starts fucking someone." Those words were said with affection despite how they might sound. Ziggy had a benefit of height and telepathy which was a distinct advantage in the crowd of all sorts of people.

Jack isn't hard to find sitting over in the corner near the stage. He's got a bottle of whiskey and one of Ziggy's guitars that he's playing without it being hooked into the stacks.

"Jack." Ziggy calls out and instantly he puts aside the guitar and stands up.

"Toby this is my brother, kind of, Jack."

Jack looks at the vampire and though he looks like Ziggy the way he holds himself is vastly different; more aggressive, suspicious and wary. However, he does offer his hand seeing this person is with Ziggy.
