Ziggy Stardust Nexus Album Release Party

Why not in the Nexus had started all of this and now skekSa's bar had glitter and space themed drinks for the night, karaoke and a band playing for the release of a new album. Ziggy had decided this was the best course since so much of his family and friends couldn't go into his world to be there for his own party in his own world.

Of course, as with any good party this one was open to any who had stumbled into it and there were those directly invited as well. And flashy posters too. He was going through the ends of a sound check with the band when the bar opened.

There was a merch table, with the usual swag and new album to buy on CD and Vinyl, where they would be signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. Why not have fans in more than one universe? It had been a trip explaining this all to Mick. Weird and Gilly before dragging them through the portal. Ziggy still imagined there was going to be some crazy moments later in the night. They didn't even know he was an alien, or half alien anywway. All of this was going to blow their minds for sure.

After the show they had plans to spend the night just hanging out with drinking, karaoke, a DJ, and the usual bar fare. Ziggy had left Sa to the food and drink though he had put in a few requests for food his own species could eat.

Ziggy fussed with everything before heading backstage to drink and get dressed. About an hour after the bar opened they came out on stage and played through the whole album front to back plus a few from the previous.

"I want to explore the ones here." He offers the angel and it is an obvious invite.

"Bullshit?" Rota laughs as he orders another one of whatever the hell this was. He'd been catching up on the ins and outs of the people around the villa from the other angels and knew a little bit about the second king. Even as wild as Rota was he found a sense of security in a celestial and a fallen leading together. "I told them Lucifer was paying. Get whatever you want."

And there's the mischief, harmless but bad as a school boy.

"That sounds like a plan!" Balthazar's arm does not have to be twisted to agree to this outing. "It might not be quite so exciting this time of year, what with everything getting cold, but still worth it."

He bursts out laughing when told they're on Lucifer's tab. "Ohhh, I see, so did you want me here as backup or were you just prepared to assume he'd put up with that?"

Because he probably would. Money isn't exactly something Chaos is short on, as far as Balthazar can tell. It's still funny.

"Are there no climates here?" Rota's genuinely curious because most places had seasonality between hemispheres.

"What is he going to do, yell at me for being rebellious?" Rota has to stifle his laughter. He also knows money is irrelevant to angels on so many fronts. It is mostly just to watch Lucifer roll his eyes as the long list of horridly sweet and obnoxious drinks that Rota was planning to have.

"As far as I can tell, it's all one temperate zone," he answers with a shrug. "Except around the villa, which is more or less under Lucifer's control. The rest of the place goes through four seasons, but given how mercurial the place is, I wouldn't swear to it that that's a guarantee for the future."

Well, it didn't take long for these two to make friends. "You have a point," he agrees cheerfully. "So I won't be in the doghouse either if I encourage you."

Rota is mildly confused by the lack of weather patterns over the planet but figures that is the point of exploring. "It's good for Lucifer to have a place under his control again, even if it is diminutive."

Rota is easy going. It would be hard to get on his bad side outside of the obvious destruction of the environment. "Lucifer will know enough to blame me. He was there when I was created and I can only exist because of what he's done."

It was a strange relationship Rota had with Lucifer but it felt important to tell this angel how things were.

Balthazar isn't sure the Nexus even counts as a planet, but he's been more interested in befriending the inhabitants than studying the terrain. He nods in agreement with Rota, warmth flickering in his eyes. "It is. And he's not shy of offering it as sanctuary. It's good for everyone, I think."

He looks curious at Rota's next statement. "Because he's a creator and you work with creation?"

"He's always been a protector." Rota sighs and takes a big drink of booze. "Heaven thinks he's changed but I left because I think it's heaven that changed for the worse not Lucifer."

Rota wasn't one to hide anything and it was a growing whisper in some parts of heaven. Rota knew he wasn't the only one with that perception.


Rota shakes his head. "Not exactly. Lucifer is the angel of life. I am a manifestation of the variety of life.. it's a stronger connection that simply creation."
