"To look human." Tom corrects. "My kind burned Thomas' to his eyes." He frowns deeply feeling the guilt over the behavior of his species. He didn't want to be human any more sometimes.

"Will you be ok with him for a minute?" He looks at the way Ziggy is clinging and quiet finally as a good sign. "I need to stretch my legs and get something for my head."

Headache wasn't even a strong enough word. A break would be good.

Ziggy still doesn't have words and honestly, his throat is raw and angry from all the screaming. However, in the overwhelming pressure of pain and sorrow there's a flicker of his emotions telling Rondo he's missed him.

Tom does laugh at the scene and shakes his head. "I see he likes you." Ziggy didn't cling like that to everyone so Tommy made a good choice calling the elf. With his mind Tom suspected Tommy knew exactly who to call for maximum effect. "I can turn up the heat in the room for your companions if they need it."

Tom had not missed the snakes but animals were part of his life now. The cats had all went into hiding when they brought Ziggy in but they were here somewhere. Ziggy just buries himself farther into the embrace when his hair is touched. He's trying to parse things internally but the empty feeling is there like a black void inside and this keeps him from focusing on that too much. It hurt, that void inside. His eyes are open and watching Rondo closely, focusing on something other that the weight and emptiness.
