"That's awful," Rondo looks a Tom with wide, startled eyes. "I'm so sorry."
That explains a lot about Tommy, though certainly not everything. Rondo realizes he has a lot to learn about this family still. And now isn't the best time for questions.
"Absolutely," Rondo says. "I'll be fine. If I need help, I can text someone on PINpoint, or call with magic." All the empaths in the house, he suspects he could alert someone easily enough. "Get something to eat too, or at least some water."
"A little more heat would be good," he says. "They're all right close to my skin but it's better for them to be warmer."
Once Tom is gone, he turns back to Ziggy, looking down, trying to meet his eyes. The little orbs are floating around them again, and one alights on Ziggy's hip and rests there.
"Hey," he says, and strokes his cheek. "You don't have to talk unless you want to. I'm sorry. School keeps me awfully busy. I'll try to be around more. I missed you, too."
