Minoru couldn’t help but wince at the wailing, which only seemed to intensify when Ziggy was lifted into his lap. The Anthean was light as always, but the room itself felt heavy.
At least he wasn’t forcibly pushing himself free like he did in the car.
“Ziggy? Ziggy! I’ve got you, Ziggy! It’s gonna be okay...” Minoru still tried to speak over the cries, pulling him in closer while trying to gently nudge one of his hands free. With any luck, he’d grab onto something else - even if it was Minoru’s own hand.
