Ziggy Stardust Nexus Album Release Party

Why not in the Nexus had started all of this and now skekSa's bar had glitter and space themed drinks for the night, karaoke and a band playing for the release of a new album. Ziggy had decided this was the best course since so much of his family and friends couldn't go into his world to be there for his own party in his own world.

Of course, as with any good party this one was open to any who had stumbled into it and there were those directly invited as well. And flashy posters too. He was going through the ends of a sound check with the band when the bar opened.

There was a merch table, with the usual swag and new album to buy on CD and Vinyl, where they would be signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. Why not have fans in more than one universe? It had been a trip explaining this all to Mick. Weird and Gilly before dragging them through the portal. Ziggy still imagined there was going to be some crazy moments later in the night. They didn't even know he was an alien, or half alien anywway. All of this was going to blow their minds for sure.

After the show they had plans to spend the night just hanging out with drinking, karaoke, a DJ, and the usual bar fare. Ziggy had left Sa to the food and drink though he had put in a few requests for food his own species could eat.

Ziggy fussed with everything before heading backstage to drink and get dressed. About an hour after the bar opened they came out on stage and played through the whole album front to back plus a few from the previous.

"We're working on some treatments." She assures the angel.

"So far she hasn't killed me with them." Tom interjects full of humor and the good natured taunting that comes with a close couple.

"It's been good for our child to have an older sibling. They've really latched on to each other." She comments and then nods at the idea of different universes.

"As I meet people I noticed that is a converging idea. The people here feel more connected to each other than they do to the people back home." Tom had been thinking about that alot since arriving and talking to all the various races and types of people.

"She's some sort of universe bending witch." Tom didn't really have the words for it. "Some of Ziggy's friends called in the angels. Lucifer and someone called Moloch." Tom was still mindblown over meeting the Devil and more so that he seemed kind and generous with a family. It was right up there with finding out Tommy might be the origin of the worship of the Christian God.

Aziraphale's smile returns, appreciating Tom's humor over the situation. It reminds him a bit of the banter he shares with Crowley on occasion.

"I think it's wonderful that you've found more family here." He shifts his attention to Tom and nods enthusiastically. "Yes, I've noticed that as well. I think it's much harder to feel lonely in a place like the Nexus. Well, as long as you're at least a little sociable..."

Oh, it's a kind of witch. Aziraphale's eyebrows shoot up in surprise at the mention of Moloch and he delicately clears his throat. "Well, if Moloch is involved, then I don't think you'll have to worry about this witch for very much longer."

"We're not sure how he's related to us yet." Aletayria tells the angel. "But my husband takes in everyone like their his own."

And she loved him for his compassion toward others, always has.

"You should meet her cousin." Tom laughs a little. Thomas was as ant-social as they came but Tom thought it was more because he hadn't found the right person than a true disinterest.

"Lucifer told us tonight that she's left or been driven out of the Nexus." Tom assures Aziraphale. "I'm still adjusting to angels interacting with people. It's been harder than accepting all the aliens here."

"It doesn't sound as though it matters as much, so long as he's considered family," Aziraphale remarks. "I'm glad you've managed to find one another."

The angel raises an eyebrow at the remark. "I'm sure he could find someone in the Nexus to befriend. It's a very diverse place. I've met several self-described loners who have managed to make friends with others." Sometimes they make friends with the angel himself, but Aziraphale has that way with others.

"If she has any sense of self-preservation, she would do well to stay way," he says seriously. Although his smile returns at the comment that follows. "Well, I can't say I'm surprised. You have plenty of experience with aliens, but angels must be very new for you, yes? I can't speak for everyone, but I personally am not interested in causing a crisis of faith in the Nexus."

"We've suddenly become grandparents." Aletayria prods at Tom because of an internal joke that gets her a sharp but loving glance.

"Thomas has a hard time with humanoids." She briefly thinks over his ability to be nice to the elf Ziggy is friends with and wonders how far from human shaped they need to be, maybe not that far at all.

Tom starts laughing and it takes a moment to get it under control. "I already had a crisis of faith when I found out my girlfriend's family was responsible for my Earth's God. The angels are just... well the Devil being nice is icing on the cake of faith crisis."

"It's inevitable when you take people in as family," Aziraphale says, noticing the subtext but not knowing what it means.

"Well, he's in luck, there are many non-humanoids in the Nexus." He can't help but wonder if angels count as humanoids. He probably does, considering how attached he is to his corporation.

Aziraphale can't help but join in the laughter when Lucifer is mentioned. "I'll be honest, it caused something of a crisis of faith in myself, but I've had time to get used to it." Thank goodness for humans and all their stories. Reading all that literature gave the angel a much better handle on dealing with realities unlike his own. "All the same, the time I spend in the Nexus is simply to enjoy myself and perhaps make somebody's day a little brighter. That's all."

"It's a new experience but the children are good kids." Tom shook his head knowing full well that his wife would continue to tease him about being an old grandpa.

"Learning that those here aren't like Earth may take time but it will be helpful." Aletayria tells the angel about her cousin.

"My kid's become friends with him. When I go back home and the interviews start prattling on about my kid playing the devil's music, I don't know how I'll keep a straight face." Tom though gets a bit more serious and smiles at his wife. "I know what you mean. I could never be with my family on my own Earth. This place is a blessing for so many reasons."

"I'm sure they are," Aziraphale says with a smile. At least Tom won't have to worry about Aziraphale teasing him over his grandfather status. Even the oldest human is young compared to him.

"The Nexus has certainly opened my eyes to a fair number of things. At the very least, he has you for company."

Tom's joke makes the angel giggle brightly. "Oh, that's a good one! I'll have to share that with Crowley. He's been friends with a few musicians here and there, although I have, too, come to think of it." And speaking of Crowley, he glances over at the merchandise table before returning his gaze to the happy couple. "I ought to go pick up one of those signed albums now. Crowley is going to enjoy it so very much. Thank you again for the invitation."

"It's always good to find things that challenge your views." Tom agrees.

Even without Aletayria's input mentally he could see that Crowley was someone who had this man's.. angel's affection. Though Tom was very tolerant, and even encouraging, of whatever pairings made people happy.

"Please. Don't let us keep you. You're good company and should see others." Tom says graciously. This was a party, people should be mingling.
