Let's Dance!

The celebration was supposed to be short, sweet and just a greeting. However, with Ziggy and his friends and the family friends all being incredibly social things continued on. He and Mick and pulled out the equipment from the spare room. It was turning into a party by the time it was late afternoon.

As it attracted more people Tom ordered food to be delivered from the plaza, because they would need it, though the Anthean food was still there for the more adventurous. Jack also started a small bonfire in the portable fire pit in yard as it was getting toward evening and would cool to something colder than most humans might find comfortable. It would be good for there to be a place to warm up if the dancing or whatever else went on wasn't enough. Tommy had also finally come from where ever he had spent his time earlier in the day with his wife who, unlike Aletayria, hadn't adopted any human features at all. They were both simply observing from the edges since Etainia had not seen other species, and very few humans. This was a startling situation.

Cords run out front, Mick and Ziggy both with guitars, they were ready to jam with Soundwave. It was sure to attract other people since they were more or less starting a concert on the front lawn of the tiny house not too distant from the edge of the plaza.

"Well, I can't say that I blame anyone human for not wanting to get old and die, when most of them don't even live to be a hundred. On the other hand...converting organic people to mecha without their consent is definitely not cool." Rosanna frowns. "So...I hope they asked you first?"

Rosanna looked up at the sky. "In my world Europa belongs to the Decepticons. Lord Soundwave thinks I should do a show at Sanctuary Station, near Io. I'm thinking about it."

"I don't even remember anything to recall if I was asked for my consent first." Widget said thoughtfully. "But yeah I'm with you there. The idea of being forced into conversion isn't cool at all."

Hearing Europa mentioned in the context of Rosanna's universe piqued Widget's curiousity. "That's so strange to hear you mention places in my world, in yours." She laughed a little. "How did your people end up in the Solar System anyway?"

Rosanna took a moment to carefully consider what to say, torn between her annoyance that everyone in the Nexus seemed to think the Decepticons were either 1) really cool people generally; 2) actually the entirety of her species or 3) both. She would very much have liked to do something about this image problem--Primus only knew what they were saying about the Autobots--but the Kiss Players were also supposed to be supporting the peace, and it also, maybe, would be a bad idea to antagonise the Decepticons too much when they a) appeared to be behaving themselves and b) were very much in the majority.

"My people, the Autobots, were looking for planets with deposits of energon, which is our primary source of fuel," she said, "and quite a few of those planets have a significant amount. The Decepticons were also looking for fuel, but at that time in their history, they were also looking for places to control and colonise. We fought with them over Earth. I'm not sure why, but the people of Earth were just as upset with us as they were with them for a while. Now they have an alliance with Earth now that I don't quite trust, and they've moved all the bases that everyone knows they have out to the gas giants. And the people on Earth are allowing Cybertronian tourism, trade and technological assistance again."

She bites her lip plate. "I don't entirely trust Decepticons. We did have a war with them. But I suppose I'll grudgingly allow that if Soundwave ousts Galvatron as their leader, they might be safe for the Earth to allow and accept in the Solar System. Soundwave has a terrible reputation on Earth, but he's shown himself to be a better person than the warlords he used to serve. His conjunx--his spouse--is an odd person, too. I am friends with her brother, and he's very nice, although he is a Decepticon, and while she used to be a saboteur under their old government, he tells me that she used to be a community organiser--the sort of person who makes sure that everyone around her has enough fuel and a safe place to recharge, and will stand up to the government over things like that..."
