Ziggy Stardust Nexus Album Release Party

Why not in the Nexus had started all of this and now skekSa's bar had glitter and space themed drinks for the night, karaoke and a band playing for the release of a new album. Ziggy had decided this was the best course since so much of his family and friends couldn't go into his world to be there for his own party in his own world.

Of course, as with any good party this one was open to any who had stumbled into it and there were those directly invited as well. And flashy posters too. He was going through the ends of a sound check with the band when the bar opened.

There was a merch table, with the usual swag and new album to buy on CD and Vinyl, where they would be signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. Why not have fans in more than one universe? It had been a trip explaining this all to Mick. Weird and Gilly before dragging them through the portal. Ziggy still imagined there was going to be some crazy moments later in the night. They didn't even know he was an alien, or half alien anywway. All of this was going to blow their minds for sure.

After the show they had plans to spend the night just hanging out with drinking, karaoke, a DJ, and the usual bar fare. Ziggy had left Sa to the food and drink though he had put in a few requests for food his own species could eat.

Ziggy fussed with everything before heading backstage to drink and get dressed. About an hour after the bar opened they came out on stage and played through the whole album front to back plus a few from the previous.

"Yeah you did. I guess it could be a dinner date of sorts. One that involves eating with the devil himself."

Tony smiled fondly but then noticed the expression change in the other man. His words did have meaning to them and it felt good that Lucifer wanted to gain feedback on any relationship he had. Whether, it be with angel or human. That was reassuring in itself.

"I know this really classy place in the Nexus, just close by on the Plaza. I've never eaten there before though. It's next to the Angel's Retreat. You know, that classy angel booze, stripper joint?"

Would it be rose petals and champagne at this date? Only time would tell what would unfold between them.

"Are you referring to me or did you just call yourself the devil?" Lucifer teases with a wink as he places a hand on Tony's forearm to encourage him to leave.

"I know it well. The angel that runs it is an alternate version of my partner." Lucifer laughs playfully. "You may be the pretty rich boy but tonight is on me, whatever you want."

"Are you going to spoil me rotten, your Highness? Now, I feel privileged."

Tony found himself just staring up at Lucifer and licking his lips absentmindedly. Dinner with the devil. It was a date. As soon as he mentioned "pretty rich boy" the engineer snorted in amusement. Of course he was rich but pretty? That got a good ego stroke out of him.

"Are we talking rose petals and champagne?"

He could totally see Lucifer buying the most expensive meal on the menu and ordering the priciest champagne. Did he do this for his angel too?

Lucifer's good mood and humor came rushing back when he heard 'your highness'. This was one of the reasons he was fond of Tony, the humor that seemed to come out at exactly the right moment.

Lucifer led them out with an arm lightly around the other man's back. "I have been known to leave trails of rose petals. Is that the kind of night you want?"

Tony smirked playfully and gently leant up to ruffle Lucifer's hair lightly with his fingers. Each day he was gradually finding it more easy to socialise with the angel and lower his defences. The fact that he was falling in love with the devil said something. Touches came a little more easy each day now along with stolen glances.

"Hey, nothing wrong with the odd cliché now and then. But then, who knows what kind of night we might end up having."

His voice lowered slightly as he flashed a coy glance towards Lucifer, as he allowed the angel to lead them out of the party.

"Hey!" Lucifer grabs Tony's wrist to stop him from messing up his hair. "You could be polite enough to wait until after dinner so I do not look disheveled."

His tone is playful and perhaps Tony didn't know how important that was. There were many people he would give a hard smack for doing this. He lets go of Tony to run and hand through his hair and straighten it.

"I think you already have one cliche." Lucifer tells Tony as they start walking toward thier destination. "I believe seduced by the devil is one."

Once they were out away from the buildings, he took a moment to stretch his wings while they walked.

"My bad, sorry. It's just your hair looks really touchable right now."

Tony always wondered what he would be like to touch the devil's hair and now he had found out. Yet, he wouldn't want to piss off Lucifer by presuming too much, so offered the angel a sheepish smile. Tony knew that a good hairdo meant style.

"Yeah, you're right. I can't promise not to bring up more clichés though once we get to the restaurant."

This was what the engineer was enjoying about spending time with Lucifer. The guy knew how to have fun and relax into things. At first, Tony thought he would be all high and mighty since that was what most thought of the devil. The guy couldn't be any more opposite from that and Tony was in love. Sliding a hand into Lucifer's, he offered a warm smile as they walked.

"Lighten up." Lucifer knows full well the uncertainty and other feelings that can come from the power dynamics between someone of his ability and a mortal. "I was teasing, mostly. You can touch me any time you want."

That was a wide open invitation and he wondered what the engineer would do with it. He does glance down when Tony takes his hand. It isn't a gesture he often experiences, except with Balthazar. They held hands a lot, but with other people. He pushes down thoughts of Dorian and forces a smile. "I have learned to endure never ending bad puns. I am sure I can manage a few cliches over dinner."

Maybe Tony was just slightly apprehensive as to how their first dinner date would go. He didn't want to ruin it with presuming too much regarding how close they were. Also, this was the devil. King of all other angels and a really big deal. Perhaps, he was just overreacting as he squeezed Lucifer's hand; his thumb running over the angel's knuckles.

"I guess I'm excited for our dinner date. Dining with the devil? There's always a first for everything. As for touching you? We'd better wait until we get home for where I want to touch you, Hot-Wings."

It was a playful but meaningful flirt. God, did he want to touch Lucifer? Hell, yes.

"I have dined with mortals before. Most of them have been as friends or curiosity about thier work." He had visited many mortals over time but Tony was right in thinking that few were taken out to dinner with more intention.

Lucifer chuckles. "Do not mistake my pride for prude. You may find there is truth to the idea of the devil as a spirit of mischief."

And his choice of resturants clearly revealing he is a romantic too. He led Tony up to the front and waited to be seated in a back and semi-private table. There were benefits to a telepathic connection with the other angels. He could have things waiting for him without appearing to have asked.

As they step into the dark of the restirant it is easy to notice the pale glow to Lucifer's feathers, like moonlight.. not harsh but warm, faint, with just a hint of golden to it.

Was a game of footsie under the table not out of the question now? Tony had thought about the possibility of allowing his mischievous side to poke out since he was having dinner with the devil. Only if Lucifer wanted to of course. He would totally hold the angel's hand while they stared at each other over the table.

"Nice place. I can see you angels have priorities when it comes to fancy restaurants. I would have picked this myself if I were back in the States."

Another thing they had in common it seemed. It certainly had the romantic vibe to it as Tony walked inside with Lucifer. His eyes wandering over the décor, glancing over to his lover, who's wings were glowing. Yes, they were glowing. They looked as if they were giving off a slight gold hue. It was beautiful and Tony just stared for a good few moments.

Lucifer could go either way. Sometimes he was serious but usually he was more playful and enjoyed closeness.

"Not all of us are the same. Our tastes vary as much as humans."

Though it had been Mammon who told Lucifer about this spot. The angel of wealth could smell a place like this from across a continent or that was how it appeared sometimes.

"I appreciate the privacy while still being in public."

Though when the waiter comes to seat them he can't help but shake his head at the starstruck mortal. He gave Tony's hand a small tug as they were led to the table. Lucifer positioned himself in a seat with his back to the wall, more a convenience of keeping his wings out of the way than anything else. He'd let the human decide if he wanted to sit beside him or across from him.

Lucifer had made other arrangements for this as well through his liason. As they sat what looked to be a bottle of white wine was brought but it was not wine at all, a tart and sweet sparkling grape juice. If Tony wanted a drink Lucifer would not stop him but he wanted that to be a choice. It did not mean foregoing the look of a traditional dinner though

Tony took his seat at the table which was opposite Lucifer as it was deemed the more social norm and the polite way to start a first dinner date. Once they got past the first date stage he might choose to sit next to Lucifer at later dates. For now, he slipped into his rather comfy chair and offered his host a charming smile.

"You do know how to pick them, Hot-Wings. This place is sparkling. Also, this grape juice? I appreciate the thought."

Even the small things were much appreciated such as remembering that Tony didn't drink. The grape juice was a subtle supplement for champagne at any rate. Taking a sip he allowed the bubbles to dance on his tongue before swallowing. His hand slipping out to hold onto Lucifer's squeezing softly.

"Hey, uh, thanks for this. For tonight. It's not often I'm the one being wined and dined."

Lucifer didn't mind and expected human social norms at any rate. Tony was not used to the way angels lived.

Lucifer smiles at the man across from him. "People always remember the sins. So few remember I was originally the angel of virtues, freedom, and creation. Falling from the presence of God did not change those things as much as the literature would have you believe."

He knew how much the small things mattered from his own experiences. However, he also felt compelled to ensure this human knew what he was stepping into; separate the myth from the man so to speak. Lucifer doesn't pull away from the hand holding though it is still strange to have it be such a constant. However, if it made the human happy it was a small gesture.

"I would be a lackluster devil if I was not one to wine and dine the people who catch my attention."

"You know you're probably right."

Tony picked up his glass and raised it towards Lucifer's, clinking it against his hosts before taking a sip. It tasted really good. Not like the usual cheap crap you got in shops. No, this was something else. Devil-grade grape juice? That sounded right. Something about the evening told Tony that Lucifer was out to impress his human friend and did he impress.

Still holding Lucifer's hand with his free one, Tony finally let go so they could view a menu once it arrived. Months ago when he crashed landed into the Nexus he never dreamt that this would happen. Falling in love with the angel who picked grass out of his suit.

"I still remember when you picked bits of grass from my "tacky" suit."

Lucifer could eat, potentially would but he did not bother with the menu for the moment. He was watching the human across from him more than having a mind for eating. Angels didn't need to anyway, except for the pleasure of it.

"You did almost fall out of the sky on me." Lucifer smiles a bit because it was a funny way to meet someone. "Do you still think I am arrogant?"

"Yeah, that is true. I did nearly crush those handsome wings of yours and I'm sorry. Yet, you still managed to show me up. I knew when I saw you that you were something special."

He sipped his drink whilst gazing across at Lucifer, just wondering what the other man was thinking. Unlike the devil, Tony couldn't read people's thoughts. As for thinking he was still arrogant? Maybe. But it was in a good way. Tony knew himself that he was as arrogant as they could come, that and egotistical to boot. Perhaps, that's why he and Lucifer got on so well in the beginning.

"You were like magnet to me, pulling my Arc Reactor towards your angelic heart. Wait. I know that sounds really corny but I mean it."

Leaning over the table, Tony carefully placed a soft kiss on Lucifer's lips, warm inviting and sensual.

"You would not have crushed me but it would have sullied my suit knocking me down and that was one of my favorites." Lucifer offers with a smile twinkling in his eyes.

Lucifer watches Tony staring for a moment before breaking the silence. Though he was not reading his mind the expression was enough to reveal that he was wondering something. "You can ask whatever you are thinking."

Lucifer's eyes drop to Tony's chest, a smile appearing faintly. He was going to comment but finds himself lingering in the gentle kiss until Tony pulls away. "It is beautiful to me. I see more than a human; the radiation and magnetic field on it are dazzling like light on moving water."

Tony smiled fondly at the prospect of dirtying one of Lucifer's suits whilst nearly landing on him from high above. All that metal and grass. Not a pretty sight at all. The question was what was he really thinking? He was sharing a dinner date with the devil and had just enjoyed drinks at Ziggy's party an hour or so ago.

"You can see all that with your eyes? I've got to admit they're pretty. Your eyes. Well, actually all of you but yeah."

He wanted to say so much in so little time. Why was he rushing his words? Flutters inside causing him to behave as if he were on his very first date ever, which of course, he wasn't. But this was the devil. Tony was in awe. He stared fondly at Lucifer before sipping his grape juice.

"I see everything with them." Lucifer tells the man across from him. "The movement of atoms and stars, other people's souls or spirits, radiation, if I choose to I can see emotions and thoughts though I do not because it invades the privacy of others. The world is a very bright place to my eyes." Part of that was being a creator. Though he hadn't created the Nexus there was enough in common that his senses quickly adjusted.

He can't help but smile at the nervousness but the affection is welcome. "You do not have to isolate yourself across the table."

It was a clear invitation to break away from human standards. "Despite mythology, I do not bite, at least not on the first date."

Lucifer winks at him before picking up his own glass. He is fine just sitting here drinking grape juice and talking. As an angel he doesn't adhere to human cultural expectations or standards.

"Everything? As in...can you see what colour underwear I'm wearing right now? Just testing the waters here."

Tony had to bring up a playful quip even though right now he felt very small beside such a being as Lucifer. The guy could see atoms. Shit. A huge surge of awe was now rushing up from the human's core at just being in such a being's presence. The guy was practically a god. Well, almost. Ah whatever, he was a god. Did sex god count?

"Jesus Christ. Atoms? I'm blown away. Seriously. Just--woah."

Getting up, Tony moved so that he was now sitting next to Lucifer. Ah, he wasn't really hungry anyway. Hell, he wanted to know more about this impressive guy he was dating. He slid a hand along Lucifer's thigh, squeezing softly.

"You know...you being all powerful with being a creator and everything? It's a huge turn-on for me, Hot-Wings."

"If I wanted but I prefer to undress people physically instead of with my eyes." The grin just spreads in Lucifer's expression making him look a bit like a naughty school boy.

"I am a creator. I know I keep saying it but it is something important to understand. In my universe I am the light that starts the universe." Lucifer starts laughing. "It has always made 'the Big Bang' designation quite amusing to me."

Lucifer raises a brow at the intimate touch but doesn't stop him. He is more likely to encourage it. "Knowing what I do about you, power and knowledge seem an unsurprising turn on."

Lucifer leans in whispering so that his breath flutters against Tony's ear. "I find curiosity a turn on."

"The Big Bang? Now, I'm wondering if we can't create our own "big bang" together later on."

Tony was into flirting and subtle innuendo on first dates. When was he not into that? Lucifer was just too much of a target for the engineer's infatuation and flirtatious comments. The whole creator thing? That was just too much to comprehend right now and Tony just slid his hand up to cup Lucifer's cheek, gently stroking his refined jaw.

God, the man had a handsome jaw.

"Oh yeah? Well, guess what? So do I."

Now that he was up close, Tony was just admiring the angel's handsome physique and the low, powerful voice he had. It was enough to melt butter and the engineer was quite smitten.

"You want to talk dirty to me? Talk tech, science and being an almighty creator."

"How do you suggest we do that?" Lucifer turns his eyes on Tony curious about what he is thinking about getting up to later.

Lucifer turns to kiss his fingers when they start tracing over his jaw. Lucifer certainly wasn't one to shy away from contact if it was someone he liked well enough to get this close.

"Would you like to see the magnetic field on your reactor?" Lucifer asks. "I can share my eye sight with you briefly."

That seemed the dirtiest thing he could think of within those parameters.

"To be honest? I have no idea right now. All I know is that I want us to create some kind of big bang together."

Whether or not Tony would get his "big bang" with Lucifer was anyone's guess. The concept of the angel being able to actually see magnetic fields and the like? That was pushing all of Tony's tech buttons. God, he wanted this. The notion of being able to do things outside of the norm was like cat nip to Tony.

"Would I? Fuck yes is that answer right there. This is just mind-blowing stuff right now."

Also, the kisses to his fingers had him shivering in pleasure, as he gently offered Lucifer a playful stare. The man was growing on him every second they spent together. Readying himself, Tony nodded and looked apprehensively towards the angel.
